VidsHog News (news.vidshog.com) respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies fully with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512, and applicable copyright law. This page outlines our policy regarding alleged copyright infringement on our platform.
1. Our Content & Licensing
All original editorial text published by VidsHog News is the intellectual property of VidsHog Media. Images used on this platform are either licensed through reputable stock agencies, used under Creative Commons licence with proper attribution, or sourced from public-domain repositories. If you believe any image or content infringes your copyright, please follow the takedown procedure below.
2. DMCA Takedown Procedure
If you are a copyright owner (or authorised to act on their behalf) and believe that content on VidsHog News infringes your copyright, please send a written DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent at contact@vidshog.com with the subject line "DMCA Takedown Request".
Your notice must include all of the following elements (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):
- Identification of the copyrighted work — Describe the work you claim has been infringed, or, if multiple works are covered, provide a representative list.
- Identification of the infringing material — Provide the specific URL(s) on news.vidshog.com where the allegedly infringing material appears, sufficient for us to locate it.
- Your contact information — Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- Good-faith statement — A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy statement — A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Physical or electronic signature — Your physical or electronic signature.
Incomplete notices will not be actioned. We will respond to valid DMCA notices within 5 business days and remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material pending our review.
3. Counter-Notice Procedure
If you believe that content removed due to a DMCA notice is not infringing, you may send a counter-notice to contact@vidshog.com. Your counter-notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and its former URL.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number.
- Consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or, if outside the US, your local jurisdiction).
4. Repeat Infringers
VidsHog News operates a strict repeat-infringer policy. Any contributor or partner found to have repeatedly infringed third-party copyrights will have their access permanently terminated.
5. Fair Use Notice
Some editorial content on VidsHog News may include brief quotations, thumbnail images, or excerpts from third-party sources for the purpose of news reporting, commentary, and criticism. Such use is protected under the fair use doctrine of U.S. copyright law (17 U.S.C. § 107) and equivalent provisions in UK law.
